Critics agree that much of Southeast Asia desperately needs judicial reform and rule of law. Yet, there is remarkably little comparative scholarship on law and legal institutions in the region. Rule of Law Committee (Myanmar/Burma)
Aung San Suu Kyi's Rule of Law Committee has already received 1,700 complaints about land rights and judicial cases. Mizzima has a brief article summarizing recent developments.
